It didn't start when I was 8 with a disposable camera; it didn't start after my first child was born, nor my second, or third. It started out when an idea for my husband's Valentine's gift snowballed into what is now Simply {Gorgeous} Photography and my love for photography blossomed.

I did love taking pictures. Especially of my kids. Like any parent you want to document every milestone, every funny face, just every moment of your kids' young lives. But my camera was on constant auto mode for all those years. Never had the patience to learn the ins and outs of my camera, so the auto mode suited me just fine. That is till February of 2009.

I decided to hopefully surprise the heck out of my husband and have boudoir photos taken. I just had our third child six months before and I was working out and dieting like a crazed woman hoping to look as seksi as possible. I guess I also wanted to prove to myself that after 10 years of marriage and 3 kids later that I still "had" it. After searching high and low I quickly realized that there were no boudoir specialized photographers in my area. Well, well, well I thought, I may just have to do something about that.

I have literally spent my time since then eating, drinking, living, sleeping, everything photography. I have taught myself the ins and outs of my camera through the wonderful World Wide Web. I have joined groups, completed workshops, taken classes, practiced.....then practiced some more and have loved every.single.minute.of.it.

I also realized that I didn't want to limit myself to just boudoir (even though it is my first love). I branched out to do some sessions with couples, seniors, kids and families and doing those sessions as well as meeting so many fabulous people, I now can't imagine NOT doing those.
